Abstract Research purposes: As for the reconstruction of operated rail lines caused by its connection with large railway hubs, the reduction of the interruption time of rail operation is the most important factor should be considered. Considering the reconstruction difficulty, the method that can not only meet the railway operation requirements, but also can reduce reconstruction period and reconstruction difficulty, is put forward. Research conclusions: (1) The overall reconstruction method for elevated rail line based on the minimum influence range and the shortest outage time, which can realize the operation of main line and branch line, is put forward. (2) As for elevated station, escalators will be dismantled in stages, the reserved groove in broadened middle plate is adopted in the connection with pedestrian bridge. And the adjacent reconstruction method for elevated station in stages without interrupting metro operation can be formed. (3) As for elevated railway interval, based on the basic principle of parallel operation and effective connection of successive process, the casting technology of elevated bridge with lateral position and lateral translation is put forward. And then, the least interruption time for rail transit operation can be realized. (4) As for the post-station engineering, based on the principle of professional synergism and crossed construction, the controlling process of track laying and catenary transformation is found, and the catenary transformation time can include the time of reconstruction of ring cable, water supply and drainage, communication transformation, and signal installation and debugging. (5) The research results can lead a reference for similar project in future.
