Applicable Research on a New Method of Trigonometric Leveling

Research purposes : After the adequate theoretical analysis and study of the features that long aerial parts and high accuracy of measurement are required in the ballastless high way engineering project,a new method of trigonometric leveling without the height of equipment together with the prism is presented in this paper, and this method can solve the difficult of surveying between railway girder precision adjustment in vertical control network above the bridge and ground vertical control network during the construction of the passenger dedicated line.
Research conclusions : This new method not only contains the free stationing feature of leveling but also eliminates the error by virtue of the height measuring of the equipment and the prism during surveying with high feasibility and efficiency. It is proved this is a good way to solve the problem between railway girder precision adjustment in vertical control network above the bridge and ground vertical control network during construction. Comparative analysis is made in this paper to prove the new method is much more superior than that of traditional trigonometric leveling. The precision can satisfy second - order leveling under observation conditions of suitable distance( ≤60 m) and suitable vertical angle (≤20°) if a suitable Total Station is used.

Analysis and Application of Data Sharing Mode in Design LI Zhi - biao

Research purposes : The analyses of the issue on data sharing modes through software are made for the purpose of promoting the research on data sharing in specialties and among specialties in survey and design.
Research conclusions: The paper synthetically, analyzes the problems of most affecting the data sharing in design, gives a data sharing mode and presents the design flow and method for the data sharing interface designing flow among specialties. Finally the paper concludes the data utilization rate will be enhanced much and design efficiency will be improved much by adopting professional data bank, and using COM,the data interface is easy to be realized with software.

Research on the Characteristics of Basalt Avalanche and Rock Falling Along Zhangjiakou - Jining Railway

Research purposes : Through studying characteristics of basalt avalanche and rock falling along Zhangjiakou — Jining Railway, the discussions are made on the relation between the fallen rock distribution and the structures of land form and stratum structure and on their forming mechanism for the purposes of defining the shape and movement trace of the fallen rock and establishing the formula for calculation of influencing distance of fallen rock to provide the bases for design and construction of railway in basalt area choosing protective measures.
Research conclusions : The basalt along the railway often locates on the earth s surface and lies into sand, gravel and clayish soil, tertiary clay stone and sandstone. The basalt covering the mountaintop generally forms unstable steep cliff, which is the main source of avalanche and rock falling. The avalanche degree of basalt relates to undersurface stratum, that is to say, adverse hillside is easier to produce avalanche and rock falling than bedding hillside. The shape of fallen rock is usually block shape and anomaly ball and its appearing probability is opposite to the volume.

Research on the Influence of Earthquake on the Railway Subgrade Engineering in Mountain Area and Its Countermeasures

Research purposes : China is one of the countries with most serious earthquake disaster in the world. With the implement of strategy of developing western region development, the railway construction in western region mountain area will speed up. This paper analyzes the anti - seismic theories and methods of railway subgrade in high earthquake intensity area, summarizes the investigated harmful results of Wenchuan Earthquake disaster on Lanzhou and Xi′an railway bureaus, induces the earthquake disaster mechanism and the main styles for railway subgrade engineering in the mountain area, put forwards the technical measures for the earthquake 一 proof and disaster decreasing in railway subgrade engineering and studies the significance of the anti - seismic design theories and anti 一 seismic stability to guarantee the railway running smoothly.
Research conclusions : The railway route selection in mountain area must follow the technological principle of prevention as the main. More attention should be paid to the subgrade construction and maintenance to reduce the earthquake harms to railway subgrade. The light support structure should be adopted for railway subgrade. The proposal is made the study should be done further on the design theory and the technologies of earthquake - proof, isolating earthquake and ductility design ” etc. should be introduced.

Impact of Earthquake Disaster on Construction of Lanzhou - Chongqing Railway and Preventive Measures

Research purposes : The section between Lanzhou and Guangyuan of Lanzhou - Chongqing Railway Line locates in the southeast part of Gansu Province and the northwest part of Sichuan Province with steep topography, complicated geological structure and unfavorable geological conditions and most of the bridges and tunnels of this railway line will be built in this area. Beichuan, Yingxiu, Qingchuan, Guanxian ( Dujiangyan) and Jiangyou suffered very much from the May 12 Wenchuan Earthquake, separately locate on the Qingchuan Fault ( F8 ) , Beichuan - Yingxiu Fault (F9) and Guangyuan - Jiangyou - Guanxian Fault ( F10) , so it is necessary to do the study on the impact of earthquake on construction of Lanzhou - Chongqing Railway.
Research conclusions : Based on the site investigation after the earthquake,it is concluded: (1) The earthquake impact on the geological structure and stratum along the railway line is unobvious. (2) The earthquake impact will not produce the large landslide and mudflow in short period of time,but do impact the existing building very much. (3 ) The sequence - disaster caused by the earthquake makes long - term impact,which can possibly cause mudflow. (4) The rock falling caused by the earthquake is very common,which will make impact on the construction of the railway, so the preventive measures should be taken into account in the design and construction stages. In addition, the proposals are made in this paper for the route election, subgrade engineering and bridge and tunnel constructions for construction of the line.

Thoughts and Suggestions on Railway Network Plan after Wenchuan Earthquake

Research purposes ; The re-thoughts is made on the southwest China railway network and the relevant suggestions are put forward for the purpose of overcoming the defects revealed in the earthquake.
Research conclusions ; Based on analyzing the role of railway in earthquake relief works and the defects of the southwest China railway network revealed in the earthquake, this paper puts forward following suggestions to the railway network plan : (1) The railway network plan should coordinate with economic development and satisfy the Disaster Emergency Response Support System requirements. (2) The network flexibility should be improved by strengthening construction of external corridor, enlarging internal network scale and improving rapid passenger and freight network. (3) All modes of transportation should be integrated.

Research on the Main Technologies for Construction of Jiujiang - Jingdezhen - Quzhou Railway

Research purposes : Jiujiang-Jingdezhen -Quzhou Railway is planed in "Medium and Long Term Railway Network Plan" , so it is necessary to do researches on the main technologies for it for the purpose of deeply understanding the necessity of the railway construction,main technical standards and construction scheme.
Research conclusions ; (1) Construction of Jiujiang — Jingdezhen — Quzhou Railway is to develop the tourism and mineral resources of the regions along the railway. (2) The main technical standards should meet the needs of the present and future. It is proposed the single line is built at first and the double line will be built later, and the target speed is 160km/h at first and 200 km/h later. (3 ) The railway route should be selected in accordance with the geological conditions, economic conditions, passenger and freight flows and construction investment. It is proposed Jiujiang - Jing-dezhen -Quzhou Railway will be 328. 09 km in length, connecting with Tongling - Jiujiang Railway at existing Hekou Railway, basically parallel to Jiujiang - Jingdezhen Highway, approaching to Jingdezhen and Quzhou stations.

Study of Analysis Method for Loess Slope Stability

Research purposes: In this paper, a new method for analyzing loess slope stability is proposed, with which the vertical joints character of loess can be calculated. Using ABAQUS software and finite element method, the analysis of the loess slope is made through numerical simulation,and the calculation is made on the parameters of the joints and crack inner of rock or soil in the course of stability analysis of loess slope.
Research conclusions :This paper utilizes the finite element method to analysis the stability of loess slope, which can consider the vertical joints of loess slope. Compared with limit equilibrium method, the finite element method is much better in analysis of loess slope stability. The calculation example shows that the joint material model in ABAQUS is suitable for loess slope and ABAQUS finite element software applies to the study on stability of loess slope.

Research on the Method of Obtaining Modulus of Compressibility of Red Clay Foundation of Wuhang - Guangzhou Passenger Dedicated Line

Research purposes : Based on the comparative analysis of the index by geotest indoor and static cone penetration test or standard penetration test in - situ, the researches are done on obtaining the valid method of determining the modulus of compressibility of red clay foundation for the purpose of obtaining the parameters needed for Wuhang - Guangzhou Passenger Dedicated Line.
Research conclusions : There are fine relation between the modulus of compressibility and index of the standard penetration test of red clay foundation at Wuhang - Guangzhou Passenger Dedicated Railway, the relative coefficient is bigger than 0. 85. From there relative formula, the modulus of compressibility for the upper strata hard - plastic red clay foundation can be exactly obtained by correcting the modulus of compressibility in geotest indoor through the number of hammer in standard penetration test. In addition,the amount of drilling and sample geotest indoor can be reduced,and such problem as the numerical value on the low side in test indoor by the unqualified sample of commom drilling and sampling measure can be greatly reduced.

Comparative Analysis of Determining the Bearing Capacity Characteristic Value of Shallow Foundation Soil by Integrated Exploring Method

Research purposes ; Different exploring methods result in different values in the same place. Using one method is not enough, especially in the areas we are not very familiar with. This paper comparatively analyzes the experimental achievements in integrated exploring for Tianjin TEDA Technological and Industrial District for the purpose of obtaining the coefficient relation among some exploring methods to provide the basis for confirming the characteristic value of bearing capacity and indicating the advantage of integrated exploring methods in geotechnique survey.
Research conclusions: The value from the cone penetration test is approximate to that from loading test. The value from the drill and sampling has a large deviation. The value deviation from the general dynamic penetration will become larger as the depth increases. The coefficients are as follows : 0. 9 - 1. 1 for the cone penetration; 0. 5 -1. 2 for the drill and sampling ; 0. 6 -1. 0 for the general dynamic penetration.

Effect of Treating Soft Soil Foundation of High - speed Railway with Vacuum - mound Preloading Method

Research purposes : In order to meet the high standard of post construction settlement of high-speed railway, soft soil foundation must be treated. There are many methods to treat soft soil foundation with different applicable scopes, engineering costs ,effects and construction period, so it is necessary to do researches on these methods for the purpose of finding out a suitable method for treating the soft soil foundation of high - speed railway.
Research conclusions : Vacuum - mound preloading is a suitable method for treating soft soil foundation of high - speed railway with the characteristics of low cost, short construction period and making full use of embankment load, etc. The physical - mechanical properties of soft soil are improved much after consolidation with this method. However, when using this method, the attention should be paid to the influence of vacuum-mound preloading on the soft soil around, and to preventing the crack caused by the displacement and additional differential settlement. It is important to choose reasonable design and construction parameters while using this method because of its complex techniques.

Research on the Design Method for Welded Turnout on Bridge of Passenger Dedicated Line

Research purposes : The design of wielded turnout on bridge is one of key technologies for passenger dedicated line. At present, the research on welded turnout on bridge just begins in China, the systemic calculation theory and design methods are not yet formed, so it is very important to do the researches on the calculation theory and the design methods of welded turnout on bridge of Chinese passenger dedicated line. This paper puts forward the design methods for the purposes of establishing the calculation model and explores the development trend of technology for welded turnout on bridge.
Research conclusions : By means of introduction of technology along with independent innovation and on the basis of absorption and digestion of advanced foreign design concepts,a design method and design system of welded turnout on bridge have been established primarily, which can provides the basis for designing of welded turnout on bridge. The integrated calculation model of M Welded Turnout - Bridge 一 Pier t" presented in this paper can describe action between welded turnout and bridge in truth. This design method of welded turnout on bridge is very feasible and the research results can provide important guidance for the design and construction of welded turnout on bridge for Chinese passenger dedicated line.

Application of MATLAB Along with AutoCAD in Design of Non - crossover Turnout

Research purposes; With the increase of the train speed on the turnout of passenger dedicated line, the catenary design requires more precise positioning on turnout. If the non 一 crossover turnout design is adopted on passenger dedicated line, it not only guarantees that there is no influence from catenary suspension on side track, but also guarantees train can run from main track to siding or from side track to main track stably and smoothly, so the precise calculations should be done for the turnout post and catenary suspension.
Research conclusions : Application of MATLAB along with AutoCAD in design of non-crossover turnout can define the physical positions of catenary, suspension device and pantograph and make the design figurative, simple and reasonable. With this method, the pantograph can pass through the turnout area safely and smoothly with perfect collecting current at the train speed of 300 km/h.

Practice in Design of Prestressed Concrete Bridge in Accordance with Indian IRC Code

Research purposes : The introduction is given in this paper to the practice in design of prestressed concrete bridge in accordance with the IRC Code for the purpose of learning more about the IRC Code for bridge.
Research conclusions : The materials mechanics properties of the prestressed reinforcement and concrete stipulated in In?dian IRC Code are very closed to those stipulated in Chinese IRC Code and the Indian calculation of the pretress loss is almost the same as Chinese calculation. The security of pretressed structure is guaranteed by controlling stress and limi?tation bearing capacity. The requirement of stress stipulated in Indian IRC Code 18 is very high and tensile stress is not allowed,that is to say the partial prestressed concrete design is not allowed. In this case, the structure is more security, but it can not make the design flexible to satisfy the requirements of the different designs and environments because of limiting usage of partial stress.

Research on the Prestressed Tendon Arrangement and Stress Calculation of Prestressed Concrete Continuous Girder with Segmental Construction

Research purposes ; The segmental casting method is often used in the full framing construction of prestressed concrete continuous girder because concrete casting in - site is too much. In order to counteract the contraction crack of concrete, the prestressing often needs to the concrete of girder. Taking one continuous girder of Taiyuan - zhongwei - Yinchuang Railway for example, this paper, through comparing the advantages and disadvantages of three arrangements methods of prestressed tendons, studies prestressed tendon arrangement and prestressing calculation of prestressed concrete continuous girder with segmental construction.
Research conclusions : It is proposed to adopt the tendons arrangements in full framing segmental construction when the connector can not be used because the construction site is small. The short tendons are stretched and anchored at the toothed plates and the long tendons are stretched and anchored at the ends of girder. The calculation and control of prestress in prestressed concrete continuous girder should be done according to the theoretical thickness of beam and the construction age,final tension age and the elastic ratio of concrete to counteracted the effect of concrete contraction with tensile stress.

Research on the Design of Large Span Deck Steel Tube Concrete Arch Bridge

Research purposes : Large span deck steel tube concrete arch bridge is very complicated in the stresses structure. The selection of structure type and construction method has great effects on the arch rib force, the design of jointless track on the bridge,the safety and stability of the train. The issues mentioned above are studied in this paper.
Research conclusions ; The deck arch bridge is suitable for crossing the mountain river and deep valley. Based on studying the design of deck steel tube concrete arch bridge, the following results are offered : (1) The calculation results of the effect of type section of the arch rib,the crossing incline angle of arch rib,the architecture above the arch,span of the main girder, bearing arrangement method for the pier top and related parameter on the jointless track and dynamics of train,track and bridge; (2) The results of the effect of the span ratio and parameters of the arch axis, erecting method of the steel tube,the sequence of concrete casting in the steel tube on the stress of the arch rib ; (3 ) A new design concept and thoughts.

Application of Three Bench Method in Reinforcing Weak Surrounding Rock of Railway Mountain Tunnel of Passenger Dedicated Line

Research purposes ; Three bench method is applied widely in reinforcing weak surrounding rock of mountain tunnel of passenger dedicated line. This paper discusses some problems that exist in traditional three bench method and sums up four kinds of three bench methods commonly used in reinforcing weak surrounding rock from the fields of their applicable conditions and reinforcing method.
Research conclusions ; With three bench method, the large - sized construction machines can work rapidly, flexibly and synchronically on many working faces. It is easy to choose suitable three bench method for different geological conditions to satisfy the requirement of construction safety. Of course, there are some disadvantages of three bench method, but these disadvantages can be overcome by controlling the bench length, stabling the arc foot, perfect support in advance and proper drainage. The practices show three bench method is a successful method in reinforcing weak surrounding rock of mountain tunnel of passenger dedicated line and is worth using widely.

Characteristics and Design of No - platform - column Canopy

Research purposes : With the development of the railway construction,more and more no-platform - column canopies are used in railway stations. This paper analyzes the characteristics and design method of no - platform - column canopy, studies the main influencing factors,design theories and test analysis for the structural form selection of no - platform - column canopy and puts forward the issues for caution in design.
Research conclusions : As a new type of architecture of railway traffic,no-platform-column canopies have many characteristics different from general railway architectures, so there is still room for improvement in its the structure style,design theory and design method through more practice. The difference from general steel structure is that no col-umn bracings are used for no-platform-column canopy,and the structure should be formed by longitudinal and trans?verse rigid frame as much as possible to improve the structured lateral stiffness and enhance the bracings in roof system to improve the whole performance.

Research on the Scheme for Construction of Transriver Tunnel of Line 4 of Wuhan Urban Mass Transit

Research purposes : The Line 4 of Wuhan urban mass transit is an important line of Wuhan rail communication network and crosses the Yangtze River from Wuchang to Hanyang through tunnel, so the construction of transriver tunnel is very important to the entire project of the line 4,but there are lots of risks and influencing factors in construction. This paper analyzes the characteristics of the schemes and environment for construction of the transriver on the basis of the experiences in construction of similar tunnels at home and abroad for the purpose of seeking an advanced,reliable, safe,money - saving and high - quality scheme for construction of the tunnel.
Research conclusions : Through making analyses and comparisons of four schemes for route selection of the transriver tunnel and two schemes for construction of the tunnel, the route selection of transriver tunnel should comprehensively considers the track type, passenger flow and the conditions of building stations and laying out track,and it is proposed to adopt the scheme of Yaoludi. For tunnel construction, it is proposed to adopt shield construction with small section of 6.2 m for single track and tunnel, which can effectively reduce the construction difficulties, guarantee the construction security and lower the construction cost.

The Solid Track Bed Defect of Urban Mass Transit and Its Treatment

Research purposes : The solid bed has been applied extensively in urban mass transit, and it needs route maintenance because defects happen during operation and affect the service life of the solid bed,so it is necessary to treat the defects in time. This paper analyzes the causes for defect production and puts forward the treatment scheme for the purpose of prolonging the service life of the bed and guaranteeing the operation safety.
Research conclusions : There are several traditional methods for route maintenance of the solid track bed,such as surface imbruing film, pressure pouring concrete and cut repairing. Through studying the advanced technology for treating the defects, nowadays some new methods, new materials and new technologies, such as low pressure pouring concrete to repair gap,using carbon fiber to reinforce and so on, are used to treat the defect along with traditional method, which make the treatment easy and reliable with lower cost.

Discussion on Yard Track Structure of Urban Mass Transit

Research purposes : Urban mass transit system has its depot and multi - purpose base. This paper researches the relative track structures for different types of yard tracks on the basis of investigation of applicable situations of yard tracks for some depots and integrated bases of urban mass transit in China and presents the optimum design of yard track structure on the basis of national railway theory and experience.
Research conclusions : Ballast bed should be installed for the test track and track outside the depot, which can reduce the vibration and the engineering cost, and the stanchion or adit monolithic track bed should be installed for the track inside the depot according to the different technological requirements so as to maintain easily and reduce maintenance works significantly. Use of flexible fastenings on the track can improve the track safety and stability without any reinforcement and reduce maintenance works. The track can work better by installing the auxiliary equipments,such as crossing and buffer stop.

Research purposes: The researches are done on the TBM type selection for experimental section of Line 2 of Xi,an metro and the key shield construction technologies for loess area for the purposes of providing the reference to TBM type selection for construction of metro in future and mastering the construction technology for loess area.
Research results : Through the analyses of the engineering and hydrographical geology of the section and different types of TBM,it shows EPB TBM is the most suitable for working in the experimental section of Line 2 of Xi'an metro. Aiming at the spcial geologic condition in loess area, this paper discusses the key technologies of capstan, cutter, screw conveyer, mudding and foam system and propulsion cylinder of TBM and analyses the construction experience for experimental section,which provide references for similar construction in future.

Researches on the Organization Design and the Budget Estimate Making for Construction of Urban Mass Transit

Research purposes: Rapid urban mass transit is a kind of green transportation mode with the characteristics of high speed, safety, low energy consumption and slight pollution and is more and more adopted in large or medium cities. With the rapid development of urban mass transit, it is necessary to analyze and research the design of construction organization and the method of budget estimate making in order to prepare the foundation for the design of urban mass transit. Taking the construction of light rail from Tianjin to Seaside New District as an example, this paper analyzes and researches the design of construction organization and estimation making methods for construction of urban mass transit and national railway for the purpose of offering reference to the similar works.
Research conclusions; For construction of national railway and urban mass transit, the design of construction organization should be made in accordance with the local peculiarities and the characteristics of construction. The budget estimate for urban mass transit should be made in accordance with the local quota, policies, laws, regulations and the professional standards. In addition,the method of budget estimate making for urban mass transit should be continuously improved.

Research on the Redevelopment Modes for the Land along Urban Railway

Research purposes :The land along the existing urban railway is generally in low development but after the urban railway turns to urban mass transit the land along the railway has to be redeveloped. This paper discusses the issue on value increasing of the land along the railway and studies the redevelopment mode for the land. Research conclusions:With the changes of urban structure and urban morphology ,it is the inevitable trend that the urban railway will turn to the municipal transportation, resulting in the properties change value increasing and redevelopment o f the land a long the railway. For redevelopment o f the land a long the railway the model of Transit-Oriented Development should be adopted.

Discussion on Post - assessment of Financial Benefit of Urban Mass Transit Construction Based on the Fluctuant Passenger Traffic Volume

Research purposes ; More and more attentions are paid to the decision-making level and management level of urban mass transit construction and its benefits. As an important management part of construction,the post-assessment is the best way for it. This paper discusses the post - assessment of financial benefits of urban mass transit construction based on the fluctuant passenger traffic volume.
Research results : According to the characteristics of urban mass transit construction and fluctuant property of passenger traffic volume, this paper analyzes the content of the post - assessment of financial benefit and presents a stochastic gray systemic model for the post - assessment of financial benefit. Application of the GM (1,1) model forecasts and fits the passenger traffic volume to obtain passenger flow data as the basic data for the post -assessment of financial benefit so as to research the theory and method for post - assessment of financial benefit of urban mass transit construction. The calculation result shows that the GM (1,1) model can better indicate the change rules of passenger traffic volume with good extrapolating property and precision and can be applied in the post-assessment of financial benefit of urban rail transit construction.
