Research on the Railroad Plan for Tangshan Area
QIN Bao-lai
Research purposes: Through analyzing the railway present situation of Tangshan area, and combining with the city overall planning and the railway medium and long-term development planning, the evaluation is made on the time of building new railway lines, the comparison is made on the schemes of passenger traffic and freight traffic,and the schemes of railway layout and installment construction are presented for the purposes of instructing the railway construction and satisfying the needs of economic development of Tangshan.
Research conclusions : The railway pattern in Tangshan area is of the three longitude lines and six latitude lines arrangement. For the local passenger traffic, it needs two stations : Tangshan Station as the main passenger station and Tangshan North Station as auxiliary passenger station. The outward passing line should be built for freight traffic to realize the pattern of outward for freight traffic and inward for passenger traffic. The extra capacity of exiting railroad should be used to run 8 pairs of suburb passenger trains. The Tianjin - Qinhuangdao Passenger Dedicated line, the Mengdong line for coal to sea and the line in the section between Tangshan North Station and Tangshan Station of Beijing-Qinhuangdao intercity railway will be built in the near future,and later on the entire line of Beijing-Qinhuangdao intercity railway and the intercity railway from Binhai Developing Area to Caofeidian will be built.

Research on the Scheme of Geological Route Selection in Stream Valley Zone
HAN Kang
Research purposes :The large - sized unfavorable geology is extremely developing in the stream valley zone and there are many controlled factors of influencing route selection in this zone, such as the technical standard and investment. In this paper, based on the route selection in Wujiang gorge for Chongqing - Huaihua Railway, the summary and research are done on the experience in geological route selection in stream valley zone for the purpose of providing the reference to the similar works.
Research conclusions : Initially the route shall be selected on the left and right bank of stream. The line route should move inward to keep away from the unfavorable geology if possible, and if impossible, the line route can pass the unfavorable geology with good geological survey and suitable engineering measures. In this case, the route shall be selected to pass the safe are of karst zone in accordance with the karat developing regularity and elevation of underground river.

Discussion on the Reformation Utilization Scheme of Existing Railway in Sanya District
YANG Yun-zhong
Research purposes: After the speed - up reformation project of Hainan West Ring Railway line between new Sanya and Hongtang station,the existing railway is idle. The purpose of this paper is to solve the disturbance problem to urban lives through effective utilization existing idle railway and to meet the urgent demand from every part.
Research conclusions : Based on the detailed analysis on current situation, it is suggested to construct into Light Rail Transit (LRT) by modification and expansion of current railway resources, adding a flexible transit organization scheme, the utilization of existing railway in Sanya′s urban area is solved through technology methods. The results show that the LRT plan can not only fully utilize the existing railway resources,but also inaugurate a new tourism passage for the urban area and meet the commuting transit demands for the primary city and its supplement, by which this project can realize the object of maximizing the comprehensive transport capacity and environmental protection.

Seismic Analysis of a Continuous Rigid Bridge
ZHU Xiao-hua
Research purposes : In order to verify the seismic performances of the double - line continuous rigid railway bridge, modal analysis,elastic seismic analysis under low-level earthquake and elasto-plastic seismic analysis in high-level earthquake are given to a continuous rigid bridge,based on the requirements of the " Code for Seismic Design of Railway Engineering" . The analysis procedure could be a method in the seismic analysis of high- pier railway bridges.
Research conclusions : The vibration modes and periods are acquired in the modal analysis. The elastic seismic analysis includes response spectral analysis and linear time-history analysis. The piers are checked using the allowed stress method. In the elasto-plastic seismic analysis,M-фcurves of the specified sections of the piers are acquired and hysteresis response curves are calculated so that the seismic performances are obtained. Tlie result shows that the bridge can meet the requirements.

Application of Simplified Model of the Pile Foundation in Earthquake— resistance of Bridge

Research purposes: Pile foundation structure has bees more and more adopted because of its less weight various shapes and perfect adaptability .But in application the earthquake- resistance theory of foundation which is very Important to the earthquake-resistance performance of the structure has not been reached at final conclusion. There are three analysis ways to describe the pile foundation of bridge under the earthquake action embed method,6一spring method and method. Taking continuous beam as an example,his paper analyses these three methods advantages and disadvantages and gives suggestions to their applications in engineering practice.
Research conclusions: The entire rigidity of structure is big and basic period of structure is less than practice when using the embed method model under earthquake, resulting in the larger internal force and conservative design .The attention should be paid to the less displacement of structure . It is a reasonable way to use them method model for calculating the earthquake- resistance of the structure because it can consider the joint effects of pile foundation and bridge structure and reflect the influence o f soil body at the same time, but it require lots of time to do calculation on the computer. The same result as them method can be obtained by 6一spring method with less work of establishing model, so it is suitable for convention design.

Design of Horizontal Rotary Erection Construction Technique for Da yan dong Major Bridge

Research purposes: The bridge construction method must be considered when we design bridge. The horizontal rotary erection method is an effective alternate to bridge construction, now it is widely used in bridge construction in mountain area . In order to guarantee the structure safety during construction by swing, the design of Horizontal rotary erection, some control measures, some dynamic control parameters and references of various stages for Horizontal rotary construction should be adopted necessarily. The purposes are to provide experience for similar Construction of bridge in future through summing up the design and construction of similar bridge.
Research conclusions: This was the first time in China to horizontal swing the swivel structure with total weight of 5 237 tons by the semisPherical hing which made by concrete. Combining with the Specific case of works, the component of swivel structure, the static mechanics analysis, the dynamic control parameter and the security measures are demonstrated in the page in detail. It took about 9 hours to swing the stiff skeleton in place successful. The closure accuracy met the design request. Each control parameters of the structure conformed to the calculated result.In the construction of swing, it is necessary to monitor the stress and deformation of the swivel the structure. Using the tested data to modify the parameters of calculation model. a perfectmatch is achieved between theoretic calculated and the real situation of the bridge ,which can ensure the safe construction of the bridge.The practice results show that horizontal rotary erection method can settle the issues of bridge construction in mountain area effectively.

Research purposes:A large span three- arch tunnel underpays five- floors building is formed when a connecting line to depot beside the two main lines In the tunnel between Andemen station and Ningdanlu station of Nanjlngmetro .For construction of it, the design is complex,there are many construction steps and construction procedure changes frequently .The most important thing is the safety of excavation and the five- floors building .The Divisional excavation construction is usually adopted for free- arch tunnel but different methods o f excavation and Lining process have different influences on strata and upper building,so it is necessary to do research on the order of construction process for the purposes of guaranteeing the construction safety and reducing the influence on the building.
Research conclusions :Trough making simulation analyses of 5 construction schemes for three一arch tunnel and comparing the strata settlements and structure internal force of each scheme the result shows that the scheme of "mid- pilot tunnel excavation,side tunnel in advanced and then constructing middle tunnel”is the best scheme compared with the other scheme such as the scheme o f”side tunnel excavation, the mid- pilot tunnel excavation then Side tunnel lining and finally constructing the main tunnel", Using this method ,the strata and upper building have least settlement and the support structure has least inner force.

Preliminarily Exploration on the Function Mechanism of Prevention and Treatment of Rockbrust for Tunnel

Research purposes: This paper carried out simulations of several often used anti-rockburst methods by using the discrete element method in order to provide theoretical basis for anti - rockburst design and ensure the safety of tunnel construction.
Research conclusions :The numerical simulation results show that the rock softening method by spraying water onto the rock surface is to achive the stress reduction in surface rock by reducing the rock deformation modulus, and thus suitable only for rock mass with strong water absoption. The stress release method by drilling holes is to achieve stress migration from surface rock to inner rock by drilling holes on the walls, and more suitable for weak to stronger rockbursts. The stress release method by blasting behind the work face is,however, to achieve more tangential stress transferring from surface rock to inner rock by conducting advanced blasting, and thus most applicable to strong rockbursts.

Quantitative Evaluation Research on the 10 kV Power System for High - speed Railway

Research purposes : In the construction of a high-speed railway, the security and reliability of power system is especially important. In the design of high - speed railway power system, as only qualitative analysis but no quantitative indices were considered in the past, it is difficult to keep proper balance between the reliability, security and the cost of the project. In order to get the indices,this paper presents a quantitative evaluation of the reliability, availability, maintainability and security, which is abbreviated as RAMS. It provides reference for construction design in future.
Research conclusions : Especially to the 10 kV distribution system of high - speed railway, an RAMS evaluation model which is based on the failure mode and effect analysis ( FMEA) is built. With a self - developed software, RAMS of all kinds of 10 kV distribution system in high - speed railway is evaluated. And through the contrastive analysis, some conclusions are found out as follows. If the external power supply is reliable, all kinds of power supply mode of double-continuous power line and single-continuous power line with contact line as reservation source have a availability ratio more than 99.99%. Double - continuous power line with power cable and load looped network switch is the best mode, which has an availability ratio 99. 997%. All the power supply modes of single-continuous power line have an availability ratio less than 99. 99%. Above all, the power supply mode of double-continuous power line is a key step to get better RAMS indices.

Analysis and Study of Traction Substation Phase Alternating Connection for Passenger Dedicated Line (PDL)

Research purposes : Electrization railway is single phase movable load, which will produce negative sequence current in the power system. It is necessary to discuss the way to reduce the negative sequence current and reduce the influence of traction load to the power system.
Research conclusions : The traction substation alternate phase,which is different phase alternating connect to the power system,is adopted at large in railway now. The terminal sign and connection of traction transformer with single - phase connection, single - phase V, v connection, three - phase V, v connection, three - phase YN, d11 connection, three 一 phase - two - phase balance connection and three - phase V, x connection have been discussed and summarized, and the phase alternating connection has been analysed and studied, and commended project about terminal sign and connection of transformer in PDL autotransformer feeding system has been proposed in this paper. Adopting this project can simplify the connection and avoid the cross connection of the high voltage side of the traction transformers, and can simplify the layout of the traction substation and investment is saved.

Discussion and Fitting on GSM - R Systems Wireless Transmission Model

Research purposes: GSM-R system is adopted in Zhengzhou-Xi′an special railway for passenger transport. Because controlling signals are carried out and being used on high - speed condition, also in order to avoid Doppler effect and effects caused by electromagnetic on the controlling signals transmission, achieve the network coverage of GSM-R system,ensure the railway train controlling system and the normal operations of railway,so the research should be made on the losses which is caused by system transmission, in order to improve GSM - R network ^ reliability for the railway transmission service.
Research conclusions : The results come from analysis of the establishment of communication model and fitting of measurement of the actual road data : With the frequency increases,the distance increases,building density increases, the transmission losses will increase. From the computer fitting results, the number of fitting parameters is more, the effect is better,but the computer fitting time is longer. So in the design of wireless communications, it is better to get a good result on selecting the appropriate transmission model and choosing the appropriate numbers of fitting parameters. It also provides a basis for modeling and design of GSM-R.

Research on the Train Control Technology Based on GSM - R and GPS

Research purposes : According to the special requirements of train running on Qinghai-Tibet Railway line with special natural conditions of low temperature and high altitude, the researches are done on the signal equipment adaptability and system integration suitable for Qinghai - Tibet Railway Line based on GSM-R and GPS technology for the purpose of adopting advanced technology with less maintenance, no man on duty and high reliability of equipments.
Research conclusions : According to the special requirements of qinghai - Tibet railway Line,after tests and researches, the integrated signaling system of computer, communication and net technologies is realized. The real information can be transferred bi - directionally between train and control center through GSM - R. Whether the track is occupied or not can be inspected by GPS and EOT equipments without track circuit equipments. With GPS difference orientation technology, the train location accuracy can be improved to satisfy the safety requirement of high - speed train and virtual blocking. The wayside signal and sectional track circuit are eliminated to realize station interlocking and sectional automatic blocking. With new traffic organization mode and equipment maintenance mode, the less maintenance is achieved. With RBWT virtual technology,the safety of the tested train and wayside equipments is guaranteed.

Research on the Scheme of Video Supervision and Control System for Large Marshalling Yard

Research purposes : Scattered station locations and complex situation cause great inconvenience to the maintenance and administration of the operation. To ensure the freight transport safety and reduce accidents, a video supervision and control system has been researched and an applicable scheme has been introduced in the design dF marshalling yard for reference.
Research conclusions : The paper introduces a video supervision and control system scheme of the marshalling yard with Xinfeng Zhen marshalling yard as an example. Through analysis and comparison,the technology of analogue acquisition plus digital processing can make good use of existing equipments and trunk transmission platform, and meet the requirements of the screen control and sharpness of the image in control center. The method adopts H. 264 encoding, with its high adaptability code stream of network,powerful error correcting capability,and can be more suitable for IP and wireless networking application. Meanwhile, lightning measures shall be adopted to ensure the operation of the system.

Research purposes : This paper aims to analyze the functional requirements and operational flowchart of the Centralized Monitoring System for Security Inspection for Goods in marshalling yard ( CMSSIG) and research on the establishment of information management and operation platform, on merging Over - loading Monitoring System, Rail Balance Measuring Monitoring system, Limits - breaching Inspection System and Multi - purpose Visual Monitoring System together and sharing information with the Comprehensive Centralized Automatic Information System in the marshalling yard.
Research conclusions: As actualization of the CMSSIG in Guiyang South Railway marshalling yard, actualization of centralized dispatching, management and processing for inspection operation for goods in marshalling yard has come true. By means of creating new flowchart for goods inspection, dynamic tracing and monitoring from training accessing to train leaving is actualized. Scientific management and information management greatly provides a warranty for safety transportation of goods by railway. On the basis of practical application of the design of CMSSIG in Guiyang South marshalling yard, it is proven that the design and methodology of actualization is reasonable, and it is applicable for provision of CMSSIG in new marshalling yard or upgrading of existing marshalling yard.

Research and Development on the Air Environment Simulation Software for Subway Stations

Research purposes : Subway station is crowded and smaller underground space with the outside world . It is necessary to set up air - conditioning system to control the air environment even in the fire. Therefore, it should be to get the specific detail of subway station, such as air temperature, speed and direction of movement of the distribution, etc.
Research conclusions : Simulation analysis subway station on the air by subway station internal air environment simulation analysis software TSDI -SCFD1.0 is based on the CFD software. It can be able to realize the simulation analysis carrying out 3 - D on subway station internal air condition. It is successful to use CFD technology in the subway designs by research and development of TSDI - SCFD1.0. It is made up limitation and shortage that of the previous the subway software. The visible image and detailed analysis data can provide the basis for the subway environment designers.

Adaptability Analysis of Scale and Capacity of the Entrance & Exit Depot Line of Beijing Multiple Unit Depot

Research purposes: The capacity of the entrance & exit depot line (EEDL) is one of the key factors whether the ability of multiple unit depot can get full use . To optimize efficiency of facilities in depots, adaptability analysis of scale and capacity of the EEDL was conducted with an example of Beijing multiple unit depot, which is based on estimated train operation scheme and maintenance arrangements of electric multiple unites ( EMU) maintenance. EMU operating schedule with maintenance arrangements was simulated by train working diagram system, where the traffic volume of EMUs on EEDL can be obtained. Finally, this paper puts forward the scheme of transportation organization and the calculation method of carrying capacity. Valuable research results are provided for the survey and design of the multiple unit depot.
Research conclusions : According to the scheme of transportation organization of EEDLs, comparison analyzing the condition of the best and worst about the carrying capability and the in and out of times of the EMU,confirming the adaptability of EEDLs transportation ability and giving the measurement to improve the capacity of its. Analysis of it, we can see that four one-hour time period per day the capacity of two lines can not meet the transport needs. Therefore, we suggest that EEDL of Beijing multiple unit depot should be set up three lines and every line should be designed to double - direction fleeting operation.

Discussion of the Structure Innovation for Upgrading of Integrated Station Building Design

Research purposes: Tianjin Railway Station is a terminal of Beijing - Tianjin intercity railway and a large - scaled modem passenger railway station,many new technologies were adopted in design of it. This paper discusses the relation between innovation in structure design and integrated station building design in details for the purposes of continuous improving the level of structure design and meeting the requirements of high standard and new function for passenger railway station design in the new stage.
Research conclusions : The analysis of the relation between new technologies adopted in structure design and integrated station building design level of Tianjin railway station shows that innovation in structure design, including system, control standard, structure and construction method and so on, plays an important role in upgrading the level of integrated station buildings and this is the only way to meet the higher requirements of the society for new railway passenger station.

Research purposes: This paper mainly studies several keypoints about the design of high speed railway Station and yard for the purpose of providing the technical criterions of turn out type, available length of receiving departure track, high-speed railway and station and yard type and soon.
Research results: The high-speed railway station should be designed on the base of the specific circum stance when high-speed railway accessing into large cities: When high-speed railway accessing into the existing station, the integrated passenger station is needed; when the station before the existing station accessing into high-speed railway, only the existing station is needed; when the high-speed railway cannot been directly accessed into the existing station, the connecting line should be laid out into the existing station and the high-speed station should be parallel to the existing station; when the high-speed railway over passes the urban on the fringe of the city, high-speed railway station and existing station should be indifferent places; for the other cases, the high-speed station should be parallel to the existing station with contour form or over head form.

Research conclusions : Using steel truss and tension bar truss is comparatively a good way to support the large space and big span curtain wall,and the application of Low-E glass on glass curtain wall is an effective way to reduce solar radiation. Application Practice of Fixed Jack in Metro Depot

Research purposes: As the structural characteristics of metro vehicles, the train should be jacked by the equipment for jacking the train in fixed formation to improve the work efficiency of maintenance operation. Through analyzing and comparing the different methods of jacking train, this paper researches on the performance and mechanism of equipment for jacking the train in fixed formation in order to choose the reasonable type of the equipment for jacking the train in fixed formation in metro depot.
Research conclusions : The paper suggested that the equipment for jacking the train in fixed formation was the indispensable equipment in metro depot. And we should pay attention to the issues that refereed to the equipment for jacking the train in fixed formation in the process of the technical design in metro depot. When we chose the type of equipment for jacking the train in fixed formation, we should pay attention to the synchronization of operation of the equipment to ensure safe operation. When train was long, it could be divided into two units for maintenance operation to improve the safety coefficient of maintenance operation.

Bases on its practice, the analyses of the natural characters, component form, organization structure of united — supervision mode and several key issues on implementing of such supervision are made for the purpose of specifying and optimizing this mode to make it more operable, more acceptable extensible and used.
Research conclusions :The scale effect can be obtained and the working and supervision patterns of competing, learning and supervising each other can be formed by adopting such supervision mode to give full play to the supervision for guaranteeing the construction quality. This supervision mode also can reduce the management difficulty and work strength of the builder, is helpful for deploying the supervision resources and improve the inner management level and competition capacity of supervision enterprise. The proposal is made that the united - supervision mode should be adopted in large bidding section of railway construction with two grade flat supervision and test system of establishing one supervision substation per 30km and one experimental lab per 60 km.

The Management Application of IS09001 Quality Management System in Engineering Supervision

Research purposes: IS09001 quality assurance system is an internationally - recognized, scientific and most advanced quality management system. How to correctly understand and master the connotations of the theory and managerial practices of the system is crucial to the development of an enterprise. Hence it is essential to expound thoroughly the eight managerial principles and closed-loop management type of the system.
Research conclusions : This paper proposes that supervision enterprises should properly implement the IS09001 quality assurance system and all staff members should deeply understand its theoretical basis - the connotation of the " 8 management principles" with self - consciousness enhanced in carrying out the international standards. It also sums up that the using of closed-cycle management type of PDCA enables supervision enterprises to intensify the control procedure instead of being formalistic. By taking seriously the evaluations on management, the supervision quality can be improved with economic benefit and public reputation upgraded as well.
