Abstract：By calculating the radius o f relaxed regio n of the surrounding rock, the sco pe of thi s relax ed region may be determined. The calculatio n method of thi s radius has been theoretically derived in this paper. Combined wi th the practical conditio ns, the relative influence facto rs a re a lso studied a nd analy zed.
