Abstract：From the viewpoints of present situation of railways in the Jng-Hu region，the regional economy， requirements of its passenger and freight traffic and the specialities of its transportation，the paper analyzes and demonstrates the necessity and urgency of construction of the Jng-Hu High-speed Railway，as well as the reasonableness of adopting the wheel-rail high-speed system for enhancing the traffic capacity of the Jng-Hu railway.
