Abstract:The high piers over 100 m of the Lizigou extra-major bridge on the Neijiang-Kunming Railway were constructed under the special environments of highland, strong wind and cold winter. Based on the analyses and comparisons with the traditional formworks used in home, the paper introduces the design of a kind of hydraulic self-controlled overturn formwork with the functions of keeping out the wind and the cold. The corresponding construction key technologies are introduced also.
