Abstract：Under ordinary situations, the flexible span of catenary may be applied on electrified district with train running speed no more than 160 km/h. Combined with the structural characteristics of Re100c type flexible catenary span used on Guangzhou-Shenzhen Railway Line and Harbin-Dalian Railway Line, the author proposes his several opinions concerned with the problems which influence the stability of the flexible span. Several countermeasures for solving these problems arc proposed also.
