Abstract：Based on the summary of the experience in construction of four ground caverns under strong squeezing in the world, this paper proposes the opinions on the reform of construction of ground cavern under strong squeezing, including design, construction and schedule, especially proposes the identification standard for strong squeezing in geology, demonstrates the application of Caster Formula in identification, criticizes the improper method with hedgehog double-layer radial anchor rod, and sequentially proposes the method with first supporting and then excavation.
