Abstract:Research purposes: The researches are done on the TBM type selection for experimental section of Line 2 of Xi,an metro and the key shield construction technologies for loess area for the purposes of providing the reference to TBM type selection for construction of metro in future and mastering the construction technology for loess area.
Research results : Through the analyses of the engineering and hydrographical geology of the section and different types of TBM,it shows EPB TBM is the most suitable for working in the experimental section of Line 2 of Xi'an metro. Aiming at the spcial geologic condition in loess area, this paper discusses the key technologies of capstan, cutter, screw conveyer, mudding and foam system and propulsion cylinder of TBM and analyses the construction experience for experimental section,which provide references for similar construction in future.
