Abstract:Research purposes: The Baiyinhua - Jinzhou Port railway corridor includes the Chifeng - Daban - Baiyinhua Railway and Jinzhou - Chifeng Railway, connecting the Baiyinhua coal mine and the coal dock of the Jinzhou port. This corridor is an important channel for coal transportion between railway and shipping in the east Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, and it is also the important traffic route for supplying the coal to the power plant along the corridor. The existing Baiyinhua - Jinzhou Railway is single - track railway with small transport capacity, and can not meet the predicted transport demand. So it is necessary to upgrade this railway. The Baiyinhua - Jinzhou Railway is invested by the China Power with implement of the upgrading scheme step by step due to the investment step by step.
Research conclusions: Based on the comparison of the different upgrading schemes of adopting the different types of coaches and laying single line or double line for this corridor,it is decided to adopt the scheme of upgrade the section step by step. The scheme of upgrade double line step by step is adopted for the section between Baiyinhua and Chifeng along with expanding the effective length of the arrival and departure lines in station to 1 050 m. The scheme of grading single line step by step is adopted for the section between Chifeng and inzhou. The grading of the whole line is conducted step by step and section by section. In this way,the annual investment is relatively even, and it is suitable for the enterprise's investment.
