Abstract:Research purposes: The railway in Zibo area is of “十” type nub pattern at present. The through train coming from Jinan to the Zhangdong line has to pass the Zibo Railway Station,and the train from Jinan to the Jinlingzhen Station has to pass the Dujin connection track to form a angle transportation. It has impacted the traffic capacity of the Qingdao-Jinan Railway under condition of the increasing tension of the traffic capacity of the Zibo Station and Dongfeng Station. Therefore,how to eliminate the angle transportation,release the existing capacity and meet the growing needs for the freight transportation is a urgent problem to be solved.
Research conclusions: From the study on the existing railway pattern in Zibo area,it is concluded:(1)Based on the analysis of traffic organization,the operations of Zibo and Dongfengzhen station are redivided. The Zibo Station undertakes the operations of the trains from Jinan to the Zhangdong Line and Zhangbo Line via the Zibo Station and the Dongfeng Station undertakes the operations of the train from the Qingdao-Jinan Railway to the Zhangdong Line and Zhangbo Line. The train running mode is also adjusted. The operations of trains from Jinan to the Zhangdong Line is undertaken by the Jinan Xi Station and Duke Station to release the pressure on the Zibo and Dongfeng stations and avoid the angle transportation.(2)In order to adapt to the traffic organization optimization,the small modification was conducted to the Zibo Railway Station. Two shunting tracks were changed as arrival and departure tracks and the Qingdao throat zone was adjusted,so that all the arrival and departure tracks could be used for hump shuting and the effective length of the arrival and departure track became longer. By making such a small range transformation,the capacity of existing station was enhanced. ( 3)Based on the research,the tension situation of regional carrying capacity was released by making full use of the existing facilities and doing partial reconstruction of existing railway to reduce the interference on railway traffic. This research experience can provide the reference to the upgrading and reconstruction of the existing station.
