Exploration on the Deformation and Control of Embankment Constructed on Slope Foundation for High-speed Railways

Abstract:Research purposes:The subgrade settlement becomes one of important control factors of high-speed railway. Slope foundation in our country exists commonly in the road construction,the embankment constructed on the slope foundation has some characteristics and problems on stability,deformation and construction. Therefore,it is very important for the future similar projects to analyze the problems of embankment constructed on the slope foundation and propose some engineering measures.
Research conclusions:Except post-construction settlement of subgrade and the differential subsidence between subgrade and other structures, differential settlement of the embankment and large lateral deformation of supporting structure must be reduced for embankment constructed on the slope foundation for high speed railway. The results show that digging platform for slope foundation with less 1:1 .25 slope ratio,lateral restraint pile or sheet-pile wall,etc. used to restrict lateral deformation and increase the stability of slope foundation,composite ground adopted to enhance the strength and reduce settlement of ground,anchor pile and composite construction with pile and board structure used to reduce the up lateral deformation of pile,transition and little space of piles of composite ground adopted to resolve differential settlement. It is very practical to design of high-speed railway,especially constructed on slope foundation.
