Abstract:Research purposes: The analyses of the concentric circle design principles of traditional design method and the design method of the track of passenger dedicated line are made and the study is done on the difference between these two methods to find the problems in the design method of passenger dedicated line,such as producing over - large design line spacing and wasting the land. The solution is offered on the basis of the qualitative and quantitative analyses.
Research conclusions: By using the concentric circle design method of passenger dedicated line,the left and the right tracks are designed to a approximative concentric circle,and its error with the theoretical concentric circle increases with the decrease of curve radius and the increase of the curve drift angle. When these two factors reach a certain quantitive standard,the traditional strict design method should be used for passenger dedicated line to ensure the technical and economical efficiencies of the design.
