Abstract:Research purposes: The research solves many difficult problems in the shield tunneling construction of Guangzhou metro line 5, and summarizes some experiences on shield tunneling technology in compound stratum, hoping that it may furnish reference for similar project construction.
Research methods: The introduction, research and practice on the shield construction methods, the material and technology of shield tunneling construction are carried on by engineering analogy, field teat and monitoring.
Research results: Datanshanan-Zhongshanba part of Guangzhou metro line 5 has applied successfully the SEW shield launching method for the first time, and the slurry shield has completed the ultra-shallow tunneling across the river. The shield has crossed through karst caves smoothy distributed in Huochezhan-Xiobeizhan part, and it has filled in this blank of the domestic engineering practice. The shiled tunneling technology in ultra Small Radius Curves in Dongwuyuanzhan-Yangjizhan part has realized the new breakthrough. Chebeinanzhan-Dongpuzhan part has applied successfully the TAC high molecular polymer for the first time, and the shield has crossed the shallow Sand Strata smoothly.
Research conclusions: Some key technologies are implemented in the shield tunneling construction of Guangzhou metro line 5,soil environment stability and deformation is controlled more effectively, great progress on countermeasures of environmental geotechnical problems is also obtained, many domestic records in the shield tunneling construction are created. It promotes the development of the shield construction technology in the compound strata.
