Abstract:Research purposes: Compared with highway bridge,railway bridge bears larger load and larger force of impact , so it requires higher standard for resistance to natural disaster , especially it requires certain vertical and lateral rigidity to its structure. The great achievements made in technology for construction of railway bridge in China over 100 years are expressed.
Research conclusions: China has researched and manufactured new durable materials for railway bridge,designed advanced and reasonable structures of railway bridge,and has advanced manufacturing and construction techniques and equipments. However it is necessary for China to make further scientific and technical research on some fields of it.
