Design and Research on the Construction Scheme of Concrete Simply Supported Box Girder in Bridge-Tunnel Connection Section on Wuhan-Guangzhou Passenger Dedicated Line

Abstract:Research purposes: To resolve the problem that the transportation of the integral simply supported box girder can not pass the tunnel in the bridge-tunnel connection section of Shaoguan-Huadu section on Wuhan-Guangzhou passenger dedicated line.
Research methods: Aiming at natural conditions and distribution of bridges and tunnels, systematic analysis has been done from aspects of technical feasibility, economical rationality, construction period, the structural form of box girder and so on.
Research results: Eight feasible schemes have been proposed, and combining with the practical situation of the engineering, schemes such as adding construction and receiving yards for girder structure, casting-in-situ the integral box girder, post concreting for partial flange plate of integral box girder, etc. have been adopted in order to meet the requirements of the engineering construction.
Research conclusions: The construction of simply supported 6oz girder in bridge-tunnel connection section on passenger dedicated line can be chosen by comparing various schemes synthetically such as adding construction and receiving yards for girder to avoid increasing the section of the tunnel for the transporting of the girder through it, casting-in-situ the girder, replacing integral box girder with twin-piece composite box girder, replacing integral box girder with multi-piece type box girder, post concreting partial flange plate of integral box girder, building access road to avoid the tunnel for transporting the girder and replacing concrete integral box girder with combined structure or long span concrete bridge, etc.
