Abstract：In combination with the lab experimental result of concrete test-piece, this paper analyses the mechanism for forming surface defect of concrete, puts forward the measures for prevention of surface defect of concrete. The surface quality of concrete has been improved greatly by adopting these measures in construction of bridge pier.
