Abstract：The importance of soil and water loss assessment in ecological environment impact assessment was presented. All kinds of man-made slope formed in road construction were sorted. According to the course of formation, slopes were divided into three types: cutting slope, embankment slope and hard ground surface. Soil and water loss types of slope were analyzed. Based on field monitoring, rainfall test and referring to fruitful researches, the ways of soil and water loss prediction were discussed.
