Abstract The railway requirements in the Nanjing District, the present statu and its relation with the railway program are analyzed in this paper. A new scheme of building Jing-Hu high?speed railway crossing over Yangtze River at Nanjing is proposed. Various problems which may be occurred under this scheme and the measures for solving these problems are analyzed and dis?cussed. Finally, several forms of crossing over the Yangtze River are contrasted and selected.
