Abstract The paper gives the general descriptions and the procedures of the dynamic and static load tests of the Jiujiang Changjiang Great Bridge. According to the results of these tests,the stiffness of the Great Bridge has been analyzed. The lateral stiffnesses of the three main bridge arches are firmly verified. And thus tthe important technical data are accumulat?ed for evaluating later the dynamic characteristics and the stiffness of the bridge structure with longer span and more complexity.
