Abstract In China’s practice, it is commonly accepted that it conforms to the practice to prognosticate the tunnel gushing water quantity in karst area with equilibrium method ： Qc = V ? Ga ： (Qc：——tunnel gushing water quantity prognosticated ； Qs — seepage quantity of precip?itation seeped into the ground ； — coefficient of gushing water). But what still waits to be settled and perfected is that how much the seepage quantity {Qs) of the precipitation seeped in the ground is converted into the gushing water quantity CQc) ? This paper makes an infer?ence from the correlated relations in practice and puts forward a practicable and practical se?lection of coefficient of gushing water.
