Abstract The paper describes the engineering organizations and the technology during the con- struction of the Mihualing Tunnel, and introduces the experiences of its construction works. The specific suggestions on the problems which should be taken into attenton concerned with the necessary mechanizations for constructing a single-track long tunnel are also proposed in this paper.
