Abstract Thi s paper analy ses relatio nship betw een collapse defo rmation o f tunnel ling const ructio n and mo untain 's defect s on Nanning-Kunming Railw ay a nd giv es the main reaso ns about collapse o f tunnels. This paper int roduces some ex periences of three examples of tunnels a nd proposes al so to add some measures to prev ent the slip of mountain in the desig n, fo r ex ample: add anti-slide pile, ancho red pile, etc. On the other hand, in the pro cess o f tunnelling co nst ructio n, w e should reduce the section of the tunnel excav atio n a nd reduce the time o f unstabi li ty surrounding rock wi thout suppo ring , streng then the support s on time and sha pe the circula r sectio n in time.
