Abstract By analyzing the specialties of the structural elements of railway engineering，such as the embankment，bridge and culvert,side slope and tunnel.etc,the railway engineering is considered mainly as a geology engineering. It is proposed that the geology engineering theory is the basic theory for speeding up the railway construction. Two corresponding application techniques are also proposed，i. e.(1)geological reconnaissance and forecast .and (2)geological reformation. The above two techniques are expounded in this paper,and several suggestions are proposed.
