Abstract The paper proposes the important essentials which should be taken into attention con?cerned with the optimization on design of railway passenger stations as follows:(1)the design of rail?way passenger station should be matched closely with the urban planning, (2)the cooperation of rail-way passenger traffic with other transport mode, and (3) the main important essentials on design of railway passenger stations.
