Abstract Nowadays，the anchor bolt support and anchor cable techniques are widely applied in engineering construction of railways，highways and ports. The paper analyzes the loading procedure and the deformation of anchor bolt and the scope of its application. Combined with the engineering practices on anchor bolt support， its construction and application experiences are introduced- They are valuable as reference for design works hereafter.
