Abstract Many factors influencing the driving safety of open cut tunnels are analyzed in the paper，and the driving safety is devided into five grades-Based on the fuzzy judgment method of fuzzy mathematics and the measuring data，the two-stage comprehensive evaluation has been studied，and the method is proved credible by the engineering test.
