Abstract The reasonable estimating cost and fixing price is the prereguisite of controlling investment of the construction project. In this paper, the involution and influence factors of the reasonable estimating cost and fixing price of the railway construction project are analyzed. According to the existing problems in cost estimation, some useful rationali2ation proposal has been put forward.
