Abstract In this paper, the general development situation of green protective technology side slope at home and abroad was expounded. By comparing to the traditional slope protective methods economically, the characteristics and application conditions of a few major green protective methods on side slope in China were introduced. The application trend of green protective technology on side slope of railway subgrade was also explored by several practical engineering projects.
