Abstract The deep hole electric blast excavating method was adopted in coal bed of the Jiazhuqing high-gas tunnel，no disaster accidents occurred and the excellent social and economic benefits had been obtained. Through the selection of blasting technique in the excavating works，the safety measures for constructing tun-nel in high-gas coal bed arc explored in this paper.
