Abstract This section between Yan’anbei and xinfengzhen on existing Baotou-Xi’an Railway Line is an important patr of “Baotou-Liuzhou Passageway” which is one of “Eight Longitudinal and Lateral Railway Lines ”in Chinese railway network. The innovation for increasing capacity must be done to it , because it has become the “bottleneck” of “Baotou-Liuzhou Passageway” owning to its low standard and simple, old and backward equipments. The traffic capacity of Huangling Station is very stressed and can not match the entire line. Therefore, whether the innovation of Huangling Station is successful or not will influence on the result of the innovation of entire line. This paper makes a comprehensive analysis and study on the reconstruction project of Huangling Station.
