Abstract Yuao Bridge is located in Chongqing city proper and 180m far on upper reach from Dialing River ridge in Niu- jiaotuo. The main pillar4 of the bridge is on the south bank of Jialing River and its foundation is on candstone and under max, low water level of secular average. This paper describes the construction technique of cast-in-place pile for the pil- lar, for reference to similar construction in future.
