Abstract Based on the comprehension in the development of the CAD software of newly-built railway culverts (adaptable to Qinghai--Tibet Railway) and on the Culvert Extension CAD in Building the Double Railway (adaptable to Baoji-Lanzhou Rail- way), the second-developing method of CAD for culvert based on ARX under windows was given, development process, the principle of ARX, application of MFC in ARX, database, dynamic link libraries with 32 digit were described.
