Abstract This paper gives an introduction to the construction technique for tunnel in loess area with rich water
on the basis of example of construction practice, analyses the influencing factors on excavation of opening by
saturated loess, researches on basic law for distortion and damage of tunnel soil body, and determines excavation
way, sequence and supporting method for the tunnel in loess area with rich water in order to provider the
experience for construction of tunnel in loess area with rich water and reference to construction of similar
underground works.
