Abstract Research purposes: For meeting the characteristic demands of the functionality， systemmaticness， advancement，culture nature and economical efficiency when planning and construction of railway station building in the new period，the construction concept and technology should be innovated and broken out for construction of railway passenger station building． Through the comparison and selection of the foundation of the main structure，structure style， structural materials，and the control of construction period and investment，the reasonable structure design scheme is offered to accumulate the experience to the design of complex structure．

Research conclusions: As an important transport and transfer hub in Wuwei city，the Wuwei railway station building should meet the passengers ＇ demands as much as possible in the areas of function and comfort． It is necessary to comprehensively analyze and research the foundation pattern，structure selection and overline bridge of the Wuwei Railway Passenger Station under the conditions of the large － space and large － span of the structure and special geological conditions to determine the reasonable design scheme．
