Exploration on the Location and Transfer Effect of Loop Line for Rail Transit

Abstract Abstract:Research purposes: The loop line is a kind of the urban rail transit network. In this paper, through summarizing the urban rail loop link layout cases in domestic and foreign, the author analyzes the utility of loop link, focuses on the exploration of the theory on the transfer effect of the loop link in the city of chessboard type road network. It can help us to understand the rail transit loop link with a comprehensive view.
Research conclusions:The location of the urban rail transit loop link is closely related with the overall urban planning, city spatial form, city rail transit network forms. The interactive relationship of both contains three sides: (1) When the loop link is located in center of the city, it can help the CBD more powerful and prosperous.(2) When the loop link is located in outside of the city, it can help diverting the passengers who need come to the center.(3) In the city of chessboard type road network, the transfer effect of loop link is not better than the grid rail transit network. (4)The results of the research are conductive to enhance the rationality of rail traffic loop applications and can provide some references for the urban rail transit network planning.
