Abstract:Research purposes: Strong winds have its own characteristics under different climate conditions. The methods of how to distribute the windbreak monitoring spots and optimise the performances of the windbreak system in design of railway windbreak system are demonstrated in this paper according to the different strong winds characteristics.
Research conclusions: The different statistics methods are needed to calculate the distribution of wind-force monitoring spots according to the different climate conditions. To monsoon climate, the extremal I distribution should be taken as the basis, to typhoon climate, the Peason III distribution should be taken as the basis, and to mixed climate, first of all, the dominant climate should be determined, then the relative statistics method should be selected.
