Abstract:Research purposes:One Passenger Dedicated Line to be built will pass through the high mountain with deep valley and interlaced gully, so some pier foundations will be located on high-steep slopes. However, nowadays there is no generally accepted and reasonable method for analysis of the stability of high-steep slope under bridge load. In this paper, the analysis of mechanical behavior and stability of rock mass of high-steep slope under load is made with ANSYS in detail, and the results can provide some reference to design of high-steep slope and evaluation of its stability under bridge load.
Research conclusions:The results show that bridge load has little effect on the stress of rock mass of slope, and the slope displacement is very small. The plastic failure zone mainly occurred at a small area of basal slope of left bank, and there was no plastic failure zone in other places. The safety factor of the left and the right banks of the high-steep slope under bridge load is 1.85 and 2.20 separately, and the high-steep slope of the bridge is entirely steady at present.
