Abstract：This article introduces the overview of the electrification power supply system of Hongkong West Rail and the preliminary and secondary connection in traction substation and sectioning post. The author describes the advantages and disadvantages of preliminary connection scheme and secondary connection scheme and also proposes the suggestion of preliminary connection and secondary connection design for electrified traction substation and sectioning post, which can provide some reference to future design of electrification traction substation and sectioning post.
