Abstract：Diatomaceous earth is one of new modifying materials for modified asphalt road surface to improve the physics characteristics of mixed materials of asphalt and nowadays it is still in test and research phase in China. This paper gives an introduction to the features of design and construction modified asphalt road surface with diatomaceous earth based on the test in lab and observation on the trial road in early stage as well as the summary of construction technique.
