Abstract：The paper presents a successful technology of excavating side ditch of operation tunnel by controlled blasting, the plan of controlled blasting under difficult situations are analyzed, and the particular measures to guarantee the safety operation on the operation tunnel are proposed. Reference has been provided for the similar construction works hereafter.
