Abstract：It has great advantage in plateau permafrost area applying remote sensing technique to approach engineering geology diveision. Qing hai-Tibeten plateau permafrost are a has been divided into three geological regions and further to ten sub-regions. The works of selecting Qingzang railway line may be as a example to illustrate the effection of remote sensing interpretation in engineering geology divisi on of plateau permafrost area. The interpreting features of these geological regions in Qinzang plateau permafrost area are mainly expounded.
