Abstract：Several aspects concerned with the structure, design principles, main technical indexes, etc. of the JWF-16A hydraulic catenary erecting installation for laving transmission lines and wires with constant tension, which was newly developed in China by ourselves, are expounded in detail in this paper. This installation can fulfill the requirement of laving transmission lines and wires with constant tension by selecting an arbitrary value of tension within 0~5kNduring the construction of catenary.
