Abstract：Accompanied with the rapid development of high speed railw ays in different countries in the world， to devote major efforts for developing high speed railw ays in China has become an essential problem in the new century for railway workers. Based on the analyses of objective and subjective environment for Zheng zhou-Baoji Section of the Long-Hai railway line and the study on its reconstruction schemes，the necessity of constructing the Zheng-Bao high speed passenger traffic special railway line has been expounded in this paper.
