Abstract：Based on the ex periences on develo ping the sof twa re in the integ ratio n o f railway surv ey a nd design, throug h the analy ses of the process of railw ay survey and desig n, the f low of da ta and the study o n engineering database, this paper proposes the desig n method of the engineering database system for the integ ratio n of the surv ey and desig n. The functionli ty , st ructure, da ta model and reco rd 's data fields, as w ell as i ts identificatio n of the surv ey and desig n engineering da taba se, are expounded also in thi s paper.
