Abstract:To study the deformation characteristics of slope soft-soil foundation under the loads of embankment,and investigate the reinforcement effects of driven piles and stabilizing piles,three groups of centrifugal model tests,separately with no reinforcement measures,driven piles and stabilizing piles,are carried out based on physic-mechanics parameters of a typical slope soft-soil foundation. The results obtained show that the deformation of foundation is mainly concentrated on the border side of the declivity, and that both driven piles and stabilizing piles can limit deformation of the slope soft-soil foundation and increase the stability of foundation, and that the effects of driven piles applied in control of deformation turn out to be more conspicuous than that of stabilizing piles.
