Abstract：The steel truss with solid joints is a new technique of steel bridge developed abroad just recently 20 years. It has been adopted firstly in our country on the Sunkou Huanghe Great Bridge in the Jing_Jiu Raiway Line,The important breakthrough obtained on the building technique of this type of bridge truss is introduced in this paper. In order to make this breakthorugh ,the important research and test works proceed concerned with the desige conception and its technical essentials ,key problems in the manufacture of steel truss and the main technical requirements of assembly，so that the experience of building steel truss with solid joints may be popularized and utilized further in our country.
