Abstract:Research purposes:Cement asphalt mortar(CA mortar) layer as a filling layer between slab and foundation plate, functions in supporting, load transfer, adjustment and buffer action,so the mechanical properties of CA mortar should be researched overall. Based on the field sampling of CA mortar cylinder specimen as the object,in the controlled condition of the displacement and the strain rate, the dynamic fully stress-strain curves were obtained with four different loading strain rates ranging from 10-5s-1 to 10-2s-1. Strain rate effects on the compressive strength, the peak strain, the elastic modulus and constitutive equations were studied.
Research conclusions:(1)The mechanical properties of CA mortar is affected obviously by strain rates.(2)The compressive strength, elastic modulus and peak strain will increase with the strain rates, and compressive strength of CA mortar is the most sensitive to the strain rate, and it can improve 2. 5 times with the strain rate ranging from 10-5s~10-2s-1.(3)The fundamental shapes of the stress-strain curves of CA mortar at different strain rates are similar to each other,a rational fraction of expression is proposed here to express the stress-stain relationship of CA mortar at different rates. (4)The comparison between theoretical and experimental results shows a very good agreement at different rates, the research results could provide experimental evidence for establishing the rate type constitutive model, and apply to the design of dynamic structures of slab track.
