Abstract：The paper points out the passive retarding situation of the railway geologic works and its creating reasons. Being aimed at passive situation of the geologic works, in order to change this passive retarding situation, several measures are suggested in this paper, such as inv- proving the surveying procedure, proceeding necessary reformation to the contents and depth of the geologic works in the preliminary surveying, and strengthening the geologic synthetical prospecting works* etc.
