Abstract:The Changliangshan Tunnel is a double-tracked tunnel with a special length of 12. 78km which is only less than the length of the Dayaoshan Tunnel in China. The tunnel is situated in the boundary region of Ningwu and Yuanping of the Shanxi Province, crossing the southwest terminal of the Hengshan Mountain which is the watershed of the Sanggan River and the Hutuo River. This mountain section is a medium-low mountainous area with multipeaked hills,steep slopes, crisscross gulleys and the relative difference of heights near?ly 400m. The synthetical geological prospecting methods have been introduced in this paper. By applying the various prospecting data, four special research subjects are developed and useful results are obtained.
